Ingredients

  • Poha ( rice flakes) – 50 Gm
  • Onion – 30 Gm
  • Mustard seeds – little
  • Peanuts – few
  • Curry leaves – little
  • Green chillies – few
  • Sugar – optional
  • Salt – to taste
  • Sunflower Oil – 5 Gm

Method

  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • Put mustard seeds and allow them to crackle.
  • Add onions and saute them till they become translucent.
  • Add other vegetables if necessary.
  • Add the curry leaves and green chillies( optional) and saute.
  • Add roasted peanuts and stir.
  • Add the poha and stir.
  • Cover and steam the poha for 2-3 mins on a low flame.
  • Keep on flame till poha is soft and cooked.
  • Remove from flame. Serve hot with garnish ( optional)
